The journey started in Kolkata in 2001, After much experimentation; Preeti identified her unique signature and 'true calling' in 2007. While Preeti then moved to Mumbai. Kolkata's indelible cultural influences are clearly visible in her creations. The technical knowledge of fabrics and styles of embroidery; keenness to source vegetable dyes from remote places such as Moradabad; commitment to uplift handlooms and put bits and pieces of those in each garment is her commitment to the cause of Indian artisans.
