So the start of 2016 is just a few weeks away, and I am sure all of us are thinking about our resolutions for the upcoming year. Well, before that we have a new year party to attend and we want to look our best!
Follow these tips to look radiating this new year eve!
1) Homemade Face Pack– Start putting homemade face mask depending on the skin type. One can mix multani mitti (fuller’s earth) with honey, turmeric and lemon to apply on oily skin. For dry skin, one can add yoghurt to the pack. Aloe Vera also works well for acne-prone skin.
P.S.- Put cucumber on the eyes for that soothing effect!
2) Scrub– You should scrub at least once a week to exfoliate your skin. Use strawberry and rose water face pack. It not only removes blackheads but also leaves you smelling so nice! One can also prepare coffee and honey scrub or orange peel scrub.
P.S.- CMT; Do not forget to use cleanser, moisturizer and toner on your skin! Make it a routine and not just for new year’s eve.
3) When life throws lemons at you, make face packs instead!
Lemons are rich in Vitamin C and citric acid and help in lightening the skin tone. Lemon juice also helps in reducing black heads and wrinkles but it’s a slow process, so be patient! Vitamin C is a great antioxidant and helps achieve the radiant skin you aim for.
P.S.- Use a sunscreen lotion every day, especially after applying lemon as the skin becomes more prone to UV rays.
4) Hand and feet
Do not underestimate the power of beautiful hands and feet. It actually instills you with a lot of self-confidence. Make sure you get a pedi+manicure done before the new year’s eve. After all, where else will you flaunt your new ring.
So enough of beauty tips, let’s cleanse our systems internally too!
5) Rehydrate your skin
It becomes almost impossible to keep our skin dehydrated in this month of the year when there are so many weddings and parties to attend. But make sure to drink at least three litres of water a day. Also, you can make DIY detox water (lemon slices, ginger, cucumber, and mint leaves dipped overnight in one litre of water) and start drinking everyday to attain that flat stomach and radiant skin. (BTW my friend drank this detox water for a month and got rid of pigmentation on her skin)
6) Green Tea
Green tea has antioxidants that help in anti-ageing. Drinking green tea daily also helps in reducing weight and makes you feel active throughout the day. So drink two cups of green tea for that glowing skin for New Year’s Eve! (And continue if you can!) Check here for green tea face packs
7) Eat right – Proteins and Vitamins
Make sure you eat right and not fall sick before the New Year party. Add lots of proteins in your diet by eating pulses, sprouts, etc. Eat dairy products to add Vitamin B-12 in your diet. B-12 boosts energy level, just what you need before a party!
Pump yourself up by doing some physical activity to stay fit and healthy. Hit the gym, jog, dance, do Zumba or just go for a walk but Just do it!
Take adequate sleep to feel fresh and energized. I am sure you don’t want dark circles on new year’s eve party. Beauty sleep is definitely not overrated!
