The Filmfare Awards 2014 had some really awe-inspiring jewellery on display as actresses are known to reserve the best of their dresses and accessories for this big night. Undoubtedly Filmfare awards is considered one of the most coveted of awards in Bollywood. So here are the details that you were all waiting for!!! The sparkling jewellery took the center-stage.
The star who really dazzled with her jewellery collection was Rekha ji.
Her Golden Sari was paired with Jhumki Earrings and an amazing neckpiece. She surely knows how to carry off all that sparkle.
The other lady who strode the red carpet in gold was Deepika Padukone.
However, for her accessories she skipped bold danglers or jhumkis and picked simple studs, for the glam quotient she chose two bold cocktail rings. Many people feel that her sheer embellished Gaurav Gupta gown, surely turned up the heat on the red Carpet. And if you are not aware Deepika’s gown had adequate coverage, but Victoria Hervey wore a risqué-er version not too long ago.
Another thing that was noticed on Friday night was that black colour ruled the red carpet with a good number of celebrity choosing black coloured dresses for the event. But the one who looked the best was Priyanka Chopra.
She opted for Alexander McQueen figure hugging black gown with golden details around the waist. She also kept the jewellery minimal with just a pair of danglers to finish her look, and we assure you she looked stunning with her picture perfect figure!
Next on the list of best dressed is Neha Dhupia who opted black crop top from designer for Payal Singhal and designer Anju Modi’s skirt. For the accessory she chose a bib necklace and a long necklace along with a sparkling bracelet.
Based on the jewel worn on the event the next fashion rage is surely going to the ‘Linear earrings’ (Dangler Earrings that are long and look like a line) as it was seen on couple of stars who graced the red carpet. One of them was Vaani Kapoor who wore a Nikhil Thampi purple coloured gown with thigh high slit. Shruti Hasan also wore a long linear earrings with Gauri and Nainika’s black gown. Besides these two Pallavi Sharda the lead actress of Besharam wore a black jersey gown by Allen Schwartz with linear danglers. The gown may have looked simple from the front but the highlight was the gold zipper detail that opened up to an exposed back.

Another celebrity who impressed us was Dia Mirza who surprised up with a golden sari over black trousers instead of her regular romantic lace dress.
But for jewellery she kept it simple with just a ring. Another observation from the dresses is that it seems saree is again winning favours among the celebs. Besides Dia and Rekha ji, Mini Mathur also wore a color-clocked saree with side-swept hair and matching clutch, and bold danglers.
These three were accompanied by Elli Avram, Amrita Rao, Nimrat Kaur, Alka Yagnik and Usha Uthup who were all part of the ‘Saree brigade’.
