 How To Wear Yellow?

The thumb rule for wearing yellow is, don’t be afraid. Wear it confidently and enjoy the positive and happy vibes that the colour exudes. It works brilliantly on Indian skin tones – the same way gold flatters us.

Keep it matte and soft. Yellow works best when it does not overwhelm. So avoid the shiny, metallic textures and effects, especially during the day time.

Mono toned works better. Yellow is a bold colour and it will be kinder to you when you do not mix it with other colours, especially if you have a petite frame. Big bold multi coloured prints in yellow is best left to lanky models on the runway or the MET Gala.

Accessorize it right. Yellow can be a glorious canvas for all your fashion jewellery. Bring out your oxidized statement pieces – dramatic dangle and drop earrings, studded hoops, tassels in ombre shades or ethnic enameled jewellery that match your OOTD in subtle and intricate motifs.

Avoid gold on yellow. For obvious reasons. Which is why silver or colourful gemstones even oxidized jewellery work way better than that gold-on-gold looks. Unless of course you are a Hip Hop artiste.

So go ahead and take a plunge into the world of this glamorous shade.

Shall we say, yellow, yellow, stylish fellow?
