Voylla Works Towards Women Empowerment
Voylla intends to invest a part of its profits beyond business for a larger good of the society and hence, recently conducted skill-generation training for women in the rural area at Bassi, a sub-division of Jaipur district in the state of Rajasthan. It is on the outskirts of Jaipur, say around 40 km from Jaipur. Through the skill-generation training, Voylla intends to empower those women who are willing to work from home to earn their livelihood.
The event was successfully conducted in collaboration with Family Planning Association of India (FPAI). The training was in-sync with Voylla’s initiative to promote women empowerment and provide equal growth opportunities to women of our country. It was able to connect with a vast community to highlight women empowerment across the region.
During the course of the event, Voylla’s craftsmen trained women participants to learn Meenakari work on intricate jewelry. The training was aimed at increasing women participation in society and enabling them to live life with dignity and respect. These participants further contributed in Voylla’s latest Folklore Collection. The collection showcases ethno-contemporary designs where the chokers, ear cuffs and hand harness are inspired by the motifs of earthen pots. This collection is made of raw materials like silk tassels, mirror-work and enamel and the women artisans helped in the same. Along with Meenakari and enamelling, they were also trained to do beading and sewing for Voylla’s upcoming hair-accessories collection.
Recently, Voylla also conducted blood camp where almost everyone from the employees to the Co-founder enthusiastically donated blood.
Stay tuned for more CSR initiatives by Voylla! :) Keep your love coming!
