FROM FAT TO FIT- Parineeti Chopra’s weight loss regime

The chirpy. the effervescent actress who made a mark on Bollywood by her movies like Ishaqzaade, Shudh Desi Romance, Hasi  toh   Fasi , and  Ladies vs Rickie Behl, is all set to flaunt her figure after transforming from size 38 to 30. When asked why she wasn’t comfortable with her body like other actresses including Vidya Balan, she remarked, “I am a 25-year-old and there is no reason for me to look fat. I want to look great. I am taking care of myself and I am losing even more weight because I want to look better." Good to know that,  Pari ! We absolutely love your new look! 


Parineeti hasn’t ditched her FIRST LOVE……..Pizza! (And you thought there was some gossip, here! ) In fact, she still binges into pizza and her favorite chocolate brownies but takes care of her diet the rest of the day by eating healthy. She added, “if there are things which have excess sugar or are deeply fried and are of no nutritional value, then I won't have it." She told an interview  that looking thinner and sexy is just a by-product. She felt more energetic, constructive and her skin, nails and hair became healthier.

She has learnt Kerala martial arts, Kalaripayattu, to acquire her leaner form, apart from swimming, horse-riding and gym workout.  Working out wasn’t enough, she had to follow a strict diet regime. She strictly adheres to the following diet chart.

Breakfast – Brown bread with butter, sugar-free milk, two egg whites etc.

Lunch – Brown rice, dal, roti, green veggies etc.

Dinner – Low-fat foods cooked in little oil, sugar-free milk, chocolate shake etc.

She shelled out approx Rs 10 lacs in Austria  to reduce weight and look slim like other Bollywood actresses. She had to undergo various tests to analyse what her body could tolerate. 


For all those who strive to reduce weight each day and can’t afford a personal trainer or a dietician, follow these tips!

Hit the gym. Do regular and arduous workouts at least thrice a week.

Dance for an hour. There are umpteen number of dance videos available  on Youtube. Do Zumba! 

Skip the lift. Take the stairs as much as possible.

Sip green tea. Watch your diet.

Eat watery fruits instead of juices.

Do yoga or anything that interests you.

Last but not the least, Meditate! It not only removes stress from one’s mind but also develops a positive outlook towards one’s life.
