Jewellery e-tailer Voylla in talks with Reliance Retail, Aditya Birla for offline presence
NEW DELHI: Fashion jewellery maker Voylla.com is in talks with Aditya Birla Group and Reliance Retail to sell its products in their multi-brand stores. The online jeweller has recently entered bricks-and-mortar retail.
"We already have a tie-up with the Future Group and are now in talks with Birla retail and Reliance also," said Vishwas Shringi, founder and CEO of Voylla Fashions. The Jaipur-based company plans to open 30 retail stores in the current fiscal. It currently has offline presence in Bengaluru, Delhi-National Capital Region, Pune and Nagpur.
The company, which raised $15 million from private equity firm Peepul Capital last month, has roped in Tapan Roychoudhury and Prashant Sharma from Fabindia and Bata India to head expansion of offline business and finance respectively. It is looking to hire 300 more people across retail, technology, manufacturing, marketing and merchandising divisions. At present it has 180 employees.
Founded in 2012, Voylla sells fashion jewellery on online marketplaces Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Jabong, Yepme and Voonik, along with its own website.
