Star Studded Baisakhi Di Raat
Voylla Wishes all its customers a happy baisakhi and we have some news about how the colorful harvest festival of 'Baisakhi' was celebrated with fervour in Mumbai recently with full enthusiasm, among foot tapping Punjabi music and folk dances. “Baishaki Di Raat” was rocked by the mix of Punjabi Icon’s from Bollywood, politics, sports and business.
One event was organized by Punjabi Culture Heritage Board president Congress MLC Charan Singh Sapra and he honoured "PUNJABI ICON AWARDS” to the Punjabis who have excelled in their respective fields. Standup Comedian Sunil Grover came in first and was seen in his popular avatar Gutthi making people breathless on his hilarious joke and also taught some gidda to the audience.
He praised the punjabi culture and said that it was a memorable day for him as he was celebrating Baisakhi which is a very popular festival of Punjabis which is known for spreading brotherhood and at the event he felt that the entire Punjab has come to Maharashtra”.
Bollywood actors Sonu Sood was seen shaking his legs on Bhangra with Rashmi Desai and Congress leader Charan Singh Sapra. Charan Singh Sapra said, “its good to see so many Punjabi celebrities are doing great work into their fields. I wish them all luck and happy “Baisakhi Di Raat.” Rajneesh Duggal and Tina Dutta graced the event with their presence. Meanwhile, Punjabi actor and singer Gippy Garewal lured the audience with his thrilling performance. Singer and Anchor Satinder Satti given energetic performance and made the function ‘Baisakhi Di Raat’ memorable.
Mumbai RegionalCongress Committee (MRCC) president Janardhan C Chandurkar was seen enjoying every moment. Others seen at the event were Sandeep Singh(Indian Hockey Olympian), N P Singh (CEO - Sony TV), KTS Tulsi (MP) Eminent Senior Lawyer Supreme Court of India, Vikramjit Singh Sahney(President SAARC), Satinder Singh Sapra, Dr. Rana Kapoor (CMD - YES Bank,President – ASSOCHAM) and Shanti Dynamite among others. All was seen enjoying Punjabi festival.
Another event for Baisakhi was organised by Punjabi Global Foundation it was a grandeur celebration with prominent artists performing at the event like Raja Sagoo, Ashu Punjabi, Garima Jain, and Carlyta Mouhini entertaining the Punjabi enthusiasts from all across the city.
Baisakhi Di Raat, an initiative by Punjabi Global Foundation founded by Gurpreet Kaur Chadha will see the attendance of Vice Chairperson of Minority Commission; Smt. Janet D’souza & Maharashtra Ratan holder Lakhmendra Khurana.
